Ya Mogheeth

Don't hate me yet…

I've added a new blog page to my list.

I pray that Allah would grant me the time and the determination to post words there that would benefit my fellow Muslims and also those who are interested in knowing more about Islam. In sha' Allah I'll add posts of my own, words of others, free publications, recitals of the Holy Quran, and anything that I feel may benefit Islam in sha' Allah.

اللهم اهدنا في من هديت

congratulations on Hajj, raven. 3o2balna ya rab.

i had the same beautiful feeling you have now when i was doing a Omrah this past ramadan..it felt amazing, the whole experience was magical.

congratulations on the beautiful idea of the new blog your having...rabbena yebarek feek we fe amthalak isA.

PS.
www.islamway.com might be a helpful source for adding material in your new blog.

Thank you greyscale... Yeah I did Omra about ten years ago and I still can't forget the first look at Ka'aba.

I must have forgotten what's important during that past decade.

Al 7amdulellah..

I have to say that I'm just loving your new year's resolution. It is EXACTLY what I've been wanting to do for the past 2 years. But alas, I haven't checked any of them of my list. But seeing how determined you are and optimistic, it has given me hope and renewed motivation to finally shed my old skin and become this new and improved person.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us all, you have touched my life in a way and I cannot even begin to explain.

P.S: Great playlist! Where could I download these pieces. They're simply amazing!

Hey Garfield..

Actually right now my new year's resolution's a bit changed. I will keep this one here though to remind myself of a certain state of mind that I pray I would never return to.

Sob7an Allah.. Al Donya is too slippery. The more you try to do more for your Akhera the harder it gets.
اللهم ثبت أقدامنا على الصراط المستقيم

I'm glad that you've managed to get positivity out of my posts. Some people think differently :P الحمدلله

I still don't know about the music. I'll write about it on Ya Mogheeth, but..well... The playlist's a mix of tracks by Recoil and Massive Attack.

Oh and btw Garfield is definitely my favorite.

Smart move keeping the list as a reminder. One usually starts with this ground breaking idea that will forever change his/her life to the better and by the end of the day (or week if you're lucky), that idea has slowly disintegrated by the harsh enviroment we live in today.

And you're absolutely right. This life is slippery and temporary. We often delude ourselves into thinking that we are immortal...and that is probably the biggest mistake we could ever make. 70 years might seem like an eternity but in reality, it passes in the blink of an eye. Might seem a tad depressing what I'm saying but it doesn't have to be. I suppose it's a way to make every single second count. The moment is now. What do you think is important? What do you want to change in yourself? How do you want to help others? If people get themselves in this trance of living the moment, carpe diem, which ever way you choose to look it at, they will free themselves of today's consumer trend. That need to shop, achieve fame or get that corporate promotion. These things have dominated our lives and wiped out any traces of our unique personality. I'm probably just babbling now but what I'm ultimately trying to say is that if we all go back to basics, I know for a fact that we can truly feel genuine happiness and freedom.

Then again, easier said than done, eh?

And good to know you're a fan of Garfield. For a cat, he's very wise!
